MIME attachments and HTML double messages

Has MicroSlouch come up with a new mail reader/poster or something
that insists on posting everything as a pair of attachments -- one in
ascii text, followed immediatly with the same thing HTML-ized?  This
is not very conservative of network bandwidth, wastes space on my
archiver's disk drive, and is just a plain nusiance.  I have noticed
this happening more and more lately.  Doesn't anyone post plain ascii
text as the body of an email anymore, instead of all this attachment
stuff?
