This does away with a basic our Pastor has just taught on- Confession. We
need to ask in order to receive. We need to seek to find. Now I do hold
the line that we don't need to know how many pints of blood Aunt Sue
needed in surgery, but a card requesting continued healing would be fine.
Also the other side thanking God for her coming through the surgery is
good. (We use the two sided prayer/testimony cards available through PPH)
We also do not take full congregational requests- rather require the use
of the cards to cut down on the stories of Aunt Sue and Uncle Bill and
ALL The gory details. The details are not necessary and especially do not
endear us to visitors.
