I wish all pastors/preachers could be that way. Our churches would be
much better off.

----------------------------

I was listening to a guest preacher in our church yesterday, and I was
thinking as he was preaching. He read his scripture, quoted his subject,
and that was the last I heard of either one of them!

It bothers me when a minister cannot stick to his subject. I prepare
myself to get a good sermon on a particular topic, and within 5 minutes,
I can't tell where he's going with the message. Sometimes, they blame
their sidetrack on the "Holy Ghost" moving them in a different
direction, but still, what they are saying is not even related to the
rest of the context of their message.

This is one reason I REALLY enjoy the older/wiser preachers of
Pentecost. I listened to a tape of Bishop M.E. Golder concerning prayer.
I was really moved by his message, and it was only the first of four
parts! Every point he made related directly to his scripture and his
subject. It was very easy to follow him, and his point was well put.

Question...do you feel preaching is 100% Holy Ghost inspired, or should
the messenger prepare himself to deliver the message, and practice a
technique for his delivery?
