There were three gifts, so the insinuation appropriated by most
people, albeit without sound resoning, is that ther must have been 3
wise men.  With this assumption, when your church pools together to
give a Christmas present to the pastor, and he gets one present, then
therefore, by the same faulty reasoning, he has but one saint in his
church :->
