Amen. As Paul writes in Hebrews 6, we should go *beyond* the basic
doctrines of Christianity and move on to maturity!

Allow me to testify of a UPC pastor I had. He has lost several good
tithe-payers because he is willing to confront (in private) men who
are not fulfilling his obligations to his family. Two men in particular
I know moved on to another church after the pastor called them into his
office on reports he heard about spousal abuse. Both of these men are
quite wealthy businessmen and had donated quite a few things to the
church, including a new Mercedes for the pastor and a big yellow
schoolbus. I have a tremendous amount of respect for this pastor who
did not allow potential loss of income to deter him from his task.
