Let us face the word of God. What does the word teach us about our
relationships with our wife.
1Cor.7:3
Let the husband render unto the wife DUE BENEVOLENCE and also likewise
the WIFE unto the husband.
Look up the word due and benevolence in you concordance and understand
what Paul was saying about our relationship with each other.
Due means we OWE and are in debt to each other benevolence has a far
different meaning than good will, but of our duty to each marriage
partner.
Another place he says no man ever hated his own flesh and when we marry
we become one flesh.
How can we love another if we do not love ourselves? We are the body of
Christ.
Christ loved us , we love him and we should love ourselves and love
others as we love ourselves.
Paul Said the love a man has for his bride is he same as the love Jesus
had for us. and conversely the bride is to love the bridegroom in return.
Now the statement how can stand someone in heaven and not care here on
earth, bears looking at.
Not caring here on earth is not loving and that alone will keep us out of
heaven,
unless we repent. In heaven of course we will think and feel differently,
as with the mind of Christ.
I wished in all area's of my life I had the mind of Christ and did not
think with carnal thinking. Yes we can have the mind that was in Christ
, but I am still human and I lapse into human reasoning sometime and
usually when I do,
I make mistakes.
