Well, my father & mother are 80 and 82 respectively. Mom was baptized
in Jesus' name about 10 years ago, when I first brought them the news
of what had happened in my life. Dad was baptized about 4 years later.
But they had no place to go to church, and it just never worked to get
them praying at their home, for a number of reasons.

This last weekend, Bro. Marvin Bembry was in that area and preaching
at a church in a town adjacent to their home. Someone invited them
with a written invitation and I just happened to make a rare visit
that Friday evening. They insisted that I tell them what the meeting
was all about. It took me a few minutes to *believe* that they were
REALLY wanting to go...

Results ? No, neither received the Holy Ghost at that time, but the
pastor called me and said that both had been to the altar and prayed
earnestly, and that both had received prayer. And.. there is a
wonderful woman who has made it her project to get them to church
every week! I am sure they will become thirsty, and comfortable with
the environent and soon receive the Holy Ghost! =20

God is good!
