Bill, you amaze me! You are the only person I know who sees it the
same way I do. Perhaps this is because you are the only Christian I
know who has a scientific and technical background so close to my own.

Of course, we do not *KNOW* this is it, but to my feeble human
intellect, as compared to God's all-encompassing intellect, this is
the best understanding I have been able to arrive at.

I have a Sunday school lesson on the Holy Ghost that I use to help
kids understand how God can be the same God yet inhabit many people,
but not all people. I take a sheet of paper and fold it
accordion-style and cut out the outline of a paper doll so when you
unfold the paper, you have several paper dolls holding hands. Then I
fold it back up, except for one doll, which I let hang out to one
side.

I then take the scissors I used to cut out the dolls and stab them
through the heart of the folded together dolls. I then say that the
sissors represent the Holy Ghost indwelling the hearts of Christians
who are in one place and one accord (spiritually), but that the doll
left hanging out to the side did not get in line with the word of God
and so he did not have God's spirit in his heart.

Of course, this little demonstration relies on the fact that the dolls
are 2-dimensional, but I am 3-dimensional, so I can manipulate the
dolls in a higher dimension than the dolls can exist in to their own
perception. I feel that this is exactly what God does with us,
metaphorically speaking.
