It has been said that Hillary controls Bill. I'm not so sure that the
bumbling, hen-pecked "lil-abner" persona is so believable. The man is
said to be the most masterful politician of all times. Numerous ideas
concerning the powers behind his rise have been propagates. I
personally think its the baby-boom legacy, and a signal of character
shallowness in the generation that weilds the big vote today. I think
people want a president that reflects them, and he knows it.

Last night it was pathetic to hear Al Gore compile a list of 6
"democrats" who were voted into 2 terms. Jefferson, Madison, Monroe,
Jackson, Wilson, Roosevelt, and to that list add WJC...=20

The party of Jefferson, Madison and Monroe was called the Democratic
Republican party. Thomas Jefferson defeated another DR in his first
term. John Quincy Adams another (DR) was defeated by Jackson when
Adams changed to the National republican party. All this is froth..

One might say that Clinton won his first AND second terms, defeating
Republicans, but running AS a republican.

Read David Brock's recent book, if the subject of Hillary and Bill is
of interest. I think Bill allowed Hillary to take some shots, though
he did offer to punch Bill Safire in the nose once. Get ready to see
the real personality and his real friends emerge. There are many who
believe that a punch in the nose would be by far the most civil attack
his real enemies have suffered.
