Death Penalty

Praise the Lord!
It is amidst great trail, but also amidst great joy unspeakable and full
of glory, that I once again greet you all in that name that heaven loves
and hell fears, that name which is above every name, and that name that
I embrace with everything that is within me!
I was stunned, boggled in my mind, and yes, fascinated at how the death
penalty was scripturally defended. This is the first time I hear of such
an argument, and with as much dogma as the death penalty was argued for,
I also argue against it!
Jesus came unto his own, but his own received him not. He was murdered,
cursed on a cross, and yet, he prayed, "Father, forgive them, for they
know not what they do." He suffered the death penalty for us all so we
wouldn't have to suffer it. All we have to do is receive the grace of
salvation, and thereby obtain mercy from the eternal death penalty.
Through the death of Christ, we are dealt a new testament, that we no
longer must pay the wage of trespassing the law! All we have to do
is hear the gospel, have faith in the gospel, accept it, confess our
sin, repent from it, be baptized in Jesus' name, receive it -- the Holy
Ghost that is, and that by the evidence of fire on our tongue. Then seek
to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ! And let me tell you brothers
and sisters, be ye holy, for he was holy, preach the kingdom of heaven, for
he did, and uphold not the judgements of transgression to the law, for he
didn't. That's exactly why he put on a veil of flesh, to give us a new
deal, and destroy the judgement of the law.
So is there any good in the OT law, of course! By it is the knowledge of
sin.
So am I against the laws of this earth, and the authorities over me, of
course not! I will pray for them.
So do I believe in sin, of course not, but I won't be for killing someone
who committed it, no matter what it was. If they must be imprisoned
on account of the judgement of earthly laws, and for the safety of society,
so be it. For life, so be it! (Any of you out there involved in prison
ministries?)
So what if earthly law is for the death penalty, abortion, homosexuality?
That just tells me He's about to take his church! Lot, you better get out,
Noah, you better get in, and hey, where did Enoch go, I can't find him!
God Bless You,
Bro. Domingo Carlos
