Ralf (pronounced like when you vomit!) Nader is the man who was the
first "consumer advocate" to make a living at that alone.  His
original claim to fame is that he raised such a stink about the
trailing throttle oversteer handling characteristics of the Cheverolet
Corvair that he eventually cause the demise of one of the most
original and best engineered cars ever built in America.

His complaint was that the Corvair did not handle like other cars, so
people would have wrecks because they got in a tight situation and
then tried to control the car the way they would control a typical
"living room sofa on marshmallow wheels" American car.  The truth is
that the Corvair was designed more like a Porsche!  Why didn't the
great American go after the German car instead of the American one?  I
do not know what his agenda was at that time, but his main agenda now
is to find some perceived wrong to complain about so he can keep
writing articles and keep getting paid.  He is also a flaming rabid
environmentalist who loves owls more than lunberjacks.

He is the founder of "Consumer Reports" magazine, a publication which
I had zero faith in even before I learned who was responsible for it.
