I find the music very interesting when it comes to worship. Just to
throw
out some thoughts and opinions, not in any particular order......

*Music was VERY big in the old testament with David and his Army of men.
*Didn't David do a lot of dancing unto the Lord with his music?
*Music can -indeed- set the tone for a service. If you play some slower
music, it can bring people to tears and rushing to the altars to fall on
their
knees, if you play it fast, it can bring someone to dance and shout and
run
aisles, praising God.(However, I have seen people actually dance and run
to slower moving songs before)
*If the music is not played "professionally" it can also effect a
service.
(professional, as in skilled, or practiced) somewhere in Psalms it says
the music was played skillfully.
*I think the key word to the music in the church is "worship" music.
What is worshipping but to praise God in dancing, clapping, jumping,
running, shouting, lifting of hands, etc. I worship ever chance I get
when
I hear music played, slow or fast. The great thing in my church though
is that as of late, and after many prayers, the preaching gets more
results than the music. I would love to see better(in my opinion) music
here but -that- is just an extra the church will recieve when we start to
worship
more and more. A few Sundays ago, after what I felt was a "dull" worship
service, God stepped in and said, "its my turn" and without song, or
preaching,
everyone just started worshipping God. If you were to watch it(as I did
from
time to time) The spirit was moving as a wave, from side to side, front
to back.
It started at one point inthe church and before you knew it, the whole
congregation was touched. THIS to me was the ultimate worship! No
music, no amen leader, just pure praise!
