The music in a Church is to give glory and honor to God. We
should certainly "enjoy" giving glory to God, so I would think
the vessel (i.e. music) should be pleasing to us as well.
Anything which glorifies God should be pleasing. God is not
trying to keep us from everything enjoyable. Spending time in
prayer and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ
is enjoyable. There is nothing wrong with liking music, or
any other tool used for God's purpose. In fact, God wants us
to enjoy our lives here on earth and be fulfilled and joyful
through Him. His perfect plan for our lives will be one of
enjoyment. This doesn't mean it will always be easy or happy.
But, while we face hardships, we should find joy in Him and in
prayer, and even in the music which glorifies Him.
