Yeah, me too. Guess we are weird :)

Well, I believe Bro. Larry Schoonover (a recent list subscriber) now
pastors that church, but Bro Mallory indeed did. I don't know exactly
what Bro Mallory is doing now, but I last saw him teaching at the
Canadian Home Missions Seminar that I attended in Toronto back in the
summer. He *is* unbelievably funny and a really effective teacher. He
was teaching a marriage thing..it was great.

Now as to the message concerning the whole deal with .. well, the
works.., its called "I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go". It has to do
with the revelation of what working for God is all about. It will have
you rolling on the floor. This was preached here at a Home Missions
conference. I can send it to you if you like . send me some mail :)

Yep. Your comments are on target. Are there better ways ? There are
alternatives. I believe that Bro Scism and the board have thought long
and hard about this. Its not an easy matter. People NEED to feel the
burden and KNOW the experience of the missionaries at least second
hand. We would suffer greatly from allowing excess layers of
administration stand between missionary and supporter.

Apostolic people give sacrificially. It it really risky to be
overanalytical about how this happens. We have to believe that people
give in response to burden and that the burden must be imparted by
face to face communication. I dont think a newsletter will do it any
more that a Dial-A-Prayer line can be effective intercession :)

This is brief.. and I am just saying a little of what I have discussed
with some men who are concerned about this same matter. Bottom line
is, the missionary needs our prayers.
