This is incredible: I was reading the account in Luke of Christ's birth
when I thought the same thing, that perhaps the date of Christ's birth
can be guessed from the actions of John's father Zechariah! Someone did
all the hard work for me already :-)

This part about the Feast of Tabernacles, though, I would have totally
missed.
One more thing this brings to mind though: if Christ had indeed been
born on such a significant festival day, wouldn't the writers have
mentioned it specifically?
