Prayer Request

I started a new consulting contract a week ago today. I was
interviewed by the vice president of engineering. His wife also works
there. Today they had the annual Christmas party, which was really
very nice and a lot of fun, but I did not get too much work done this
afternoon because of the party.
At 5:00 o'clock I went into my office and resumed installing an
additional disk drive on the Sun spacr-10 I am using, then I had to
partition it, format it, make a file system, mount it, copy stuff over
to it, etc. This is all very boring work because the computer is
busy, but I am mostly waiting for it to finish so I can do the next
step.
The vice president hung around until everyone else but me was gone,
then he came into my office and started talking. It soon became
evident to me that he wanted to talk about church. We talked for and
hour. It turns out that he and his wife are Baptist, but since moving
to Chicago 3 years ago, they haved not found a church they are happy
with. He is open to other denominations. I did not tell him we do
not consider ourselves a denomination; I just wanted to hear him say
he did not need to be a Baptist, but just wanted to be a Christian
according to the Bible, and he did say that. He would like to visit
our church.
I would have guessed that his wife would have been the first to have a
conversation like that with me, but please pray with me that they and
their 2 sons will be in our church very soon. I know he has the right
kind of desire to be right with God, and I feel like she does too.
God bless you all and thanks!
