* In addition to Brother Tylers comment on question #1. No, the scripture does
* not require a person to speak in tongues on a daily basis. But, neither does
* the Word of God tell us that we must read our bible on a daily basis. I
* guess it would be the same as our natural bodies. There is nothing written
* saying that we must eat and drink on a daily basis, but, we know that if we
* want to remain alive and healthy we must eat. Therefore, to remain
* spiritually alive and an overcomer we must eat from the bread of life and
* drink from that spiritual Rock every day!
I agree! Saints (IMO) shouldn't be told that they HAVE to do something
every day. Like a mandate. People get the idea that when they are told to
do something, they don't have a say in it. Rebellion starts... etc.
I think it is better that the saints that do the good DAILY spiritual
habits love the saints that don't into their way. Love them in. If/when the
DAILY do'ers show more of the spirit of God than the DAILY don't'ers, I'd
imagine the don't'ers would get the picture and start being a do'er.
* The initial sign of tongues( Acts 2) or the gift of tongues(1Chorinthians) is
* definatally not a witness of personal concecration. Nevertheless, it is good
* for a believer to speak in tongues on a daily basis.
I think that daily tongue-talking in a prayer closet is a good common-sense
kinda thing. I just don't think it should be mandated. Let the saint see
how their life is stacking up. When it doesn't and the Lords leads otherwise
then something will change.
