Please, look in detail at that word "generation":
Mt 24:34 Verily <281> I say <3004> (5719) unto you <5213>, This <3778>
generation <1074> shall not <3364> pass <3928> (5632), till <302> <2193>
all <3956> these things <5023> be fulfilled <1096> (5638).
Mr 13:30 Verily <281> I say <3004> (5719) unto you <5213>, that <3754>
this <3778> generation <1074> shall <3928> (0) not <3364> pass <3928>
(5632), till <3360> <3739> all <3956> these things <5023> be done <1096>
(5638).
Lu 21:32 Verily <281> I say <3004> (5719) unto you <5213>, <3754> This
<3778> generation <1074> shall <3928> (0) not <3364> pass away <3928>
(5632), <302> till <2193> all <3956> be fulfilled <1096> (5638).
In all 3 verses, "generation" is translated from Strong's word number 1074:
>1074 genea {ghen-eh-ah'}
from (a presumed derivative of) 1085; TDNT - 1:662,114; n f
AV - generation 37, time 2, age 2, nation 1; 42
1) fathered, birth, nativity
2) that which has been begotten, men of the same stock, a family
2a) the several ranks of natural descent, the successive
members of a genealogy
2b) metaph. a group of men very like each other in endowments,
pursuits, character
So "generation" does not mean what this discussion has been assuming
that it meant; it means a people of a birth, of a common father, and
several ranks of natural descent. Sounds like the birth Jesus was
speaking about was not that group of men alive at the moment of the
speaking, but that group about to be born of the water and the spirit.
Sounds like he was speaking of the father that they were seeing when
they saw Jesus himself. Sounds like there would be multiple physical
generations of the flesh, but all of that one same generation of the
spirit. Sounds like he was saying, "This church shall not pass away
till all these things be fulfilled."
