God is like...

* >Yup.... How can God (a spirit) have a right hand to be next to?
* >The Father of Jesus was the Holy Ghost (as scripture says) so, how can
* >a Holy Ghost have a left or right hand so that someone with a physical
* >body can be on a particular side?
*
* Well, first read John 16:27-29 where Jesus makes clear that he was LITERALLY
* with God before and would be returning to God when he went to heaven. Also
* consider that God the Father has a visible shape or form according to Jesus
* (John 5:37).
Let's see:
John 16:27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me,
and have believed that I came out from God.
(Sure! God stepped out from heaven in a veil of flesh.)
28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world:
again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
(That's right! He's (Jesus) of the Father. If you could
unshroud Jesus you'd have the person of the everlasting God.
That everlasting God fathered the one we call the Son. It's
absolutely amazing that when we die, we'll be known as we are
known. I can see it in heaven. "Hey Bro. Moses! Hey Bro.
David! What was it like to have the Red Sea part right before
your eyes! And Bro. David, let me hear your words on how
Goliath was killed...." We know God as Jesus. Definitely
God's manifestation of himself is in the flesh is quite a bit
different than God's natural state (spirit). They are different
manifestations, same "personality/entity/being". Yes, that
manifestation of God ascended to what is called heaven. Which
is common thought of the residence (or sure place to find) God.
29 His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly,
and speakest no proverb.
(He sure did speak plainly.......)
* Stephen when stoned had a VISUAL experience of Jesus next to the Father. As
* John the Apostle was in Jesus bosom at the last supper, Jesus returned to
* the Father's bosom in heaven (in his own words!)
I think I've said this before, the "right hand" in scripture means the
"power" or "authority" of someone. In this case, Jesus (having conquered
death, hell, and the grave, now having those keys) has assumed that position
of authority in God.
When sin took dominion of the world, death and hell reigned. When Jesus
took the keys (above) from the Devil and set captivity captive, he was
(after resurrection) the complete authority and power of God.
* >In the Book of Revelation, (you know the book at the end that reveals
* >Jesus all over the place) look at how in one "snapshot" there's a lamb in
* >the midst of the throne, then a lion, then ..... Are they all separate
* >or do they describe the same being occupying the ONE throne of power
* >in heaven?
*
* The book of Revelation reveals God giving Jesus a revelation, which Jesus
* gives to angel to send to John. The angel is probably Gabriel (with the
* seven candlesticks and the eyes of fire) and NOT actually Jesus. See the
* exact same description of Gabriel in Daniel 10 when Daniel saw him. Verse
* 1:1 Confirms this. An angel was sent to John by Jesus per the Father's
* direction. It all goes back to my theory that anybody in submission to God's
* chain of command is the image of God. Jesus is #2 in the chain, so to speak.
Well, lets look at Rev 1:1,2: (from the www bible gateway)
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto
his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and
signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
(the "him" to whom the revelation of Jesus Christ was given is
the author of the Book, "the servant John" - God gave the revelation
to John)
2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus
Christ, and of all things that he saw.
(Who (John) bare record of the word of God...)
9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in
the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is
called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
(John was on Patmos because of testifying of Christ)
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great
voice, as of a trumpet,
(John was in the Spirit and heard a great voice as a trumpet from
behind)
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou
seest, write in a book,
(The voice said... I am the Alpha and Omega .... write what you see
... (or what is revealed to you))
