This is a second version of the poem I wrote last Friday. I believe
you will like it a little better.

What is in my Heart II
By Brandon Parker Dec 4, 1995
I look around and see pain in people's faces,
But in my heart there is peace.
I look around and see people screaming in misery,
But in my heart there is joy in songs that the birds sing.
I look around and feel the coldness of people passing by,
But in my heart I fill the warmth of the Son of GOD.
I look around and see the blackness of night,
But in my heart I see only the true light shining through.
I look around and hear shrieks of despondency ringing out.
But in my heart tranquility reins true.
I look around and where am I? I am sitting beside you at church,
school, work, and play. I am the one that someone saw. Sometimes
you may not know what to think about me, But the truth is, someone
reached out and helped me to meet the one person that changed what I
was and my destination. Thank you.
