Two wills or One will?

* See verse 1:1 for correction. Also chapter 7 where Jesus is standing in
* heaven and the Father is sitting down, and Jesus takes something out of his
* hand.
KJV Rev 7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God
which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
NIV Rev 7:10 And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to
our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."
RSV and crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to
our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb!"
NASB and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, ¨*Salvation to
our God *who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.£
DARBY And they cry with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God
who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb.
God on the throne and lamb are the same one. I can imagine that that
people can see in their minds a Fatherly God on the throne with a little
lamb in his lap. That book reveals Jesus. You see just about every
symbolic reference to Jesus in there as you might see in other places.
Lamb, Lion of the tribe of Judah, etc. They reveal Jesus.
God is a spirit. The spirit of God is everywhere (except hell). How
can a spirit occupy the throne unless it is contained in a body? That
spirit containment is fullfilled in the Lord Jesus.
The easiest word picture of who the identity of Jesus is is like the robe of
flesh on Jesus is like a wetsuit on a skindiver (frogman). He is covered
(mostly) head to toe with this super skin tight rubberized suit that actually
contains him. The man in the suit and out of the suit is the same person.
Just as God in the flesh (Jesus) as God out of the flesh (sprit) are the
same person.
Also this idea about two different wills is really silly. God in the flesh
knew there was only one purpose that he came and that was to redeeme man.
God knew that he, personally, had to come to earth, suffer, die and rise
even before the foundations of this world were laid. Seems like I remember
reading that "he was the lamb slain from the foundation of the world".
The plan all along was to redeem man even before man had fallen.
God couldn't deny himself. That would make God a liar. To say that the
will of Jesus was outside of that which was already planed couldn't be the
case at all.
* He is the Son of God who came down from
* heaven, not to do his own will, but the will of his Father. He came from God
* and returned to God. The Resurrected Christ is still in submission to God (1
* Co 11:1-3, 15:20-28,
* Rev 1:1). In John 6:30 (from memory), Jesus assures his disciples, "It is I,
* do not be afraid". He LITERALLY said, "I AM" but they did not translate that
* way. The wanted to convey the original meaning. "It's me" or "You know me guys!"
The Resurrected Christ is in agreement not submission. He doesn't receive
orders from headquarters to carry out the big kahuna's desires.
* What about the verses I mentioned above? Do you deny that Jesus and the
* Father are distinct? See also Acts 2:32 for another fine example. There are
* DOZENS just like it. I'm serious! Be honest with yourself!
I'd say distinct in the fact that the carnation of God (in Jesus) gave God
a way to have a body to live and experience human life. God (as a spirit)
has never changed. God hadn't experienced what it was like to live as a
human until Jesus was conceived, born, lived, and died. He went thru life
like all of us are and will. Yet without sin, spot, or blemish. Think of
it, God knows what it's like to live in the womb of a mother. God knows
what's it's like to have dirty diapers. God knows what it's like to have
childhood friends that make fun of the way you are. God knows what it's
like to have your friends lie to you. Etc., etc., etc. In all ways God
experienced the mountains and valleys of life thru Jesus. He couldn't have
been personally able to receive that "revelation" on the humanness of us
until he experienced it for himself. He might have known what it was all
about. He had never been thru it.
I don't know of many humanly bodies that can cause their own resurrection.
God (a spirit) was still working in the world. The shell of the Son was
lifeless. The shell couldn't cause life to re-enter. It's the Spirit of
God that came upon the shell and quickened it.
