I must again agree with this statement. In one incident that happened to me
in the church, I almost hated this saint. They had offended me so often that
they were probably pushing Christ's "seventy times seven" rule. I really
almost wished that they would just die or receive a terrible curse from God..
It would certainly have made life easier for me. But one night the verse came
to me saying that "God would not that any man should perish..." And I
realized that I was taking a wrong attitude. God wants everybody to be saved
and why should I be wishing them into the abysses of hell (cause sometimes you
just know that's where they are headed if they were to die right away)? So
God gave me the mind to pray for that individual. And when I prayed, I
prayed for God to have mercy on them and to help me have a right spirit. I
tell you that after I prayed, I instantly felt a clear conscience and the joy
of the Holy Ghost flooded my soul. I was telling everybody how good it felt
to have actually forgiven this person. It is a wonderful feeling.
The important thing to remember is that Jesus taught that whatever
measure you are willing to forgive a person, is the same measure of
forgivenesss that we will receive. So I often remind myself that I will be
quick to forgive because I have been greatly forgiven.
God bles you
