TODAY'S WORD:
"FAITH"

Defined: in Hebrews 11:1---
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen."

Faith is more than mere belief, faith is the *result* of belief.

Reason for: in Hebrews 11:6---
"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God
must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently
seek him."

Belief leads to faith.

Purpose of: in James 5:15---
"And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him
up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."

Faith, based on belief, brings about results.

Evidence of: in James 2:14, 17---
"What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have
not works? can faith save him?...Even so faith, if it hath not works, is
dead, being alone."

Faith must be displayed, or it is Spiritually dead.
