Divorce Too....

Brother Tim;

Though death is the only way to gain re-marriage in a Christians walk.
Let us also clarify that this is only for the believers. We cannot apply
this to the WORLD. They are not under the covenant of Christ.

Also, Paul did allow for the wife to leave, but they (both parties) were
not allowed to remarry, but they were to reconcile to each other.

I have seen that in the church, when someone gets a divorce, there is
all of a sudden a rash of people having marriage problems. They did not
have any before, at least no one knew about. BUT, when you let that
spirit in the church, then you allow for people to begin to wonder, can
I get a divorce also for the things that I am going through. There is a
SPIRIT of DIVORCE that gets into the church, but only when you allow for
remarriage. When a church has a strong anti-remarriage stance, then
there are very very few divorces. Most opt to work it out. (which BTW is
Gods perfect will for all marriages in the church.)

The best example that I can come with is: The marriage is symbolic of
Christ's relationship with his Church. We are called the Bride of
Christ. We though do fall flat on our faces. We may even commit
Spiritual whoredom, yet he does not divorce us. He picks us up, He
cleans us up, He continues to love us, just like he did before we fell.

Now if that relationship is symbolic of his relationship with the
Church, how much more should we as the earthly representatives of his
church forgive and make up with each other.
