There are two ladies in my church who are in the process of perfecting their
sign language skills (especially religious terms) for use in the service at
our church. As of yet, there are no deaf people there, but it helps to be
prepared.

One of the concerns they had was that most Apostolic deaf ministry uses
"English" signing. There is nothing wrong with "English", but the most
common form of signing in the world today is "ASL" (which is what they area
studying. Even the booths at conferences pass out "ASL" literature, but the
interpreters prefer "English".

Why do they use "English" if they can reach more of the unsaved with "ASL"?
