It was to clarify things for the person that said that Jesus' righteousness
is imputed to us.  This is the foundation for the "once saved, always saved"
heresy.  Once you destroy the foundation of Jesus' righteousness being
imputed, the rest falls under its own weight...

This also in and of itself shows the relationship between faith and deeds.
;-D  It shows in no uncertain terms that BOTH are absolutely necessary for
salvation in that: No righteousness = No salvation...
