I don't think it is a proposed standard for ALL Christian communication,
but I would favor a standard (lower case, not essential to salvation,
obviously not a Biblical Doctrine <G>) that would result in us referring
to the ISSUES and not making personal statements.  If our goal here is
fellowship, I don't think our goal can be reached by making personal
comments or calling names.

Me:
Flames and name calling are already forbidden.  I did neither.  I did
comment on the issue at hand.  I merely stated my opnion, then back it up in
fact, of the value of the matterial.  The flap resulted from offense at my
delivery, a point which I also proved with the "refuse = garbage" post to be
invalid.

My goal here (or anywhere else for that matter) isn't primarily fellowship,
but the Truth unto salvation of the called and the judgement of those who
reject God in Jesus Christ...
