Even though the original Greek was all caps (guess they didn't use email
;-), its amazing what the use of a few capitals will do. Pastor Fitzgerel
can emphasize one portion of the verse, while another portion can be
emphasized by changing which words have caps:
follow me AS I FOLLOW CHRIST
or
follow me as I follow CHRIST
See how the emphasis (and thus our interpretation) of the verse can change
depending where the emphasis is placed.
I don't think Paul would be comfortable with Pastor F's iteration (too much
emphasis on man), nor my first try (too litle emphasis on man). I think he
would be really comfortable with my last crack at it (all the emphasis on
Christ). If pastor and saint can place altheir focus on Christ then the
leading and following will take place as it ought.

Bro. Frank, to be perfectly candid with you, I was not attempting to draw
attention to big OLE me, but was responding to a statement that more or less
took the preacher out of the equation all together. I believe the word of God
tells us that He chose that through the foolishness of preaching to save them
that believe, and it is humans that he chose to call and that was the extent
of my meaning and the capital letters used in my post. I am sorry that all
you got out of that is an attempt on my part to exalt myself. My apologies.
