I would never believe that it would be safe to TOTALLY BLINDLY follow
anyone outside of Jesus Christ.
>You have stated you have some previous problems, yet you do not seem to
state if you believe what the Pastor

I believe that Pastors are called to preach the Word of God, not their
own personal convictions. I would like to hear from even ONE Pastor who
God has literally called to preach their own personal standards as His.
But I would guess that there would not be one Pastor to take me up on
that.
>Now if you do not feel good vibes,
I don't believe in "vibes". "Vibes" without study and prayer can lead
you into trouble.
>well maybe one of you is not in tune with the correct mission.
Bottom line: As long as the Pastor is IN the Word, he is in his calling.
As long as the Saint is IN the Word, they are also in their calling.
>I would agree that in the ideas you have mentioned previously, you would
be thankful of any church government to

Actually, it would be a ways too far in deep RIGHT field, but I get your
drift.

I disagree; otherwise we would all still be Catholic.
Another real life scenario (I've posted it here before but got only two
responses): The Pastor has been Pastor for I think eight years and all of
a sudden, he starts posting that Hell isn't real. That homosexuality is
okay.
Now this was at one time a sound doctrinal man of God whom you were
blindly following.
What can you do now? You have ruled out publicly ASKING about such
stands.
>If you wanted to ask privately or in a small group, well that would seem
ok.
The Bible says that is NOT ok. If we have ought against a Brother, we go
to him first PRIVATELY, not to others.
>I would not ask my Pastor if I can wear green socks on Tuesday, or any
other Holiness
>Standard, or conviction in front of another.
Yet would you have any problems in asking him a question about a BIBLICAL
stance in public?
If not, why the difference?
>In private, we have disagreed a few times. I have never stated my
disagreement in public
>except once and it was not proper as it cast him in a bad light.
Define "proper" as in what limit is there to the level of questioning.
Also, you appear to bring up that it is not alright to ask the Pastor
publicly about a stand on standards, but I would assume that in your
Church if you had a question about the Bible it would be no problem; that
is puzzling at best.
>Given the hindsight, that also cast me in a worse light. I am glad my
>current Pastor prays before he says something.

>Brian Berger
I am glad as well.
