Dave responds:
Trust me Mike. I truly do admire and respect people who do not own a TV.
And you make a good point about finding a cockroach in a plate of food
and throwing the whole plate out. I have read that in some countries,
cochroaches are a delicacy (but this is not my point). You indicate that
you are "hard pressed to find good programming on TV."

Well, if you like nature, there is "The Discovery Channel." If you like
cartoons there is "The Cartoon Channel." If you like the old classic
comedies, there's "TVLAND" and "Nick At Night." If you like Disney
stories, there is "The Disney Channel." If you like learning about
doctors and hospitals, there is "The Learning Channel." There is much
much more good programming that is clean and even educational. There is
of course "The Sports Channel" for all you sport lovers out there. But
again, I really don't want to encourage people to get a TV if they don't
own one. Because as someone earlier said, it can take away from prayer
time and devotion in the Word "if" a person lets it. But my point is
that there is good stuff on their. Just like a radio. There is good
programming and there is ungodly stuff on there...
