If indeed both parties are truly in the family of God and indeed are
his children, and not the children of the devil.  Just because a
person has been filled with the Holy Ghost does not mean that they
cannot fall away, so each side could believe they were right and the
other was wrong, since two contradictory sides cannot both be right
and God still be God.  

Of course, it certainly *IS* possible for two contradictory sides to
both be *WRONG*, and that is a fact many do miss!
