Actually I have a Freeware program that I believe was from ZDNet that
checks Y2K. I have not had the courage yet to try it out.

"Probably" the same one.  I just saw this as an opportunity to hang my
advertising of the initial salvation verses and to promote my site on a
personalized version.  If your bios are post ninties, you 'probably' don't
have a problem.  All mine said was that there was no provision in the CMOS
forthe rollover, but that there was a line in the bios to take care of it.

The only caution is to disable your virus protection programs and all TSRs
before you run it.  It will let you know if one is running automatically,
even at that.  All in all, I'd say it is 'pretty safe'.  ;-)
