Liberal v Conservative

In "my opinion" and experience with "conservatives" and "liberals", I
find that the "conservatives" view the "liberals" as being unholy,
rebellious, loose, and worldly. The "liberals" view the "conservatives"
as being "self-righteous" "legalistic" "condemning" "holier than thou"
and so forth. I think you get the picture.

What do the scriptures teach?

Acts 2:40
40	And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save
yourselves from this untoward generation.

Phil 2:12
12	Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my
presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling.

1 Cor 9:27
27	But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by
any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a
castaway.

I really believe that many have been turned away from the gospel because
people tend to express their "own convictions" instead of allowing the
Holy Spirit be the Holy Spirit. Too many people are attempting to do the
Holy Spirit's job and point out all the faults in people.

So many look down on those who may not see "eye to eye" on every issue
and as a result, divide fellowship. This is not God and God will have
nothing to do with divided fellowship since He is not the author of
confusion. There is a division from the "believer" and "unbeliever" but
never from the family of God...

I believe that it saddens the heart of God to see His children in
constant debate over what is wrong...
