Well I've listened to drivel long enough.
I will relate just one story (true story) about listening to your
pastor. I hope he doesn't mind me using his name. Bro Bourne, who now
pastors a church in Houston,Tex. once pastured a church in Arkansas. He
had one of his members come to him one day complaining that he could not
find a job. Bro. Bourne told him as he was leaving to take the first job
he was offered even if it just payed 50.00 a week. The member said I
can't live on 50.00 a week and drove off. In about an hour the member
came back saying I can't live on 50.00 a week. The first job he found
payed 50.00 a week he obeyed his pastor and took it. The next week his
boss came in and doubled his salary, then every week thereafter he kept
doubling his salary. Soon this member was making big money. Then his boss
needed more help --other men in the church went to work for him --50.00 a
week to start-- same senario doubled each week. Then the owner died. His
wife took over and life was then Hell on earth. Everyone was ready to
quit. But all of them decided to pool their money and to make an offer.
This was a multi-million dollar company. All the members went to Bro.
Bourne to tell him what they were about to do. Bro Bourne told them to
not make any offer even though it was a great bargain. They obeyed their
pastor. The next week the wife called a company meeting everyone thought
the worst. She proceeded to tell them she was tired of messing with the
business and never wanted to look at it again she had a Lawyer there to
draw up papers and gave the company lock stock and barrel to the original
member who was now the superintendent. But wait these were a bunch of
fools who listened to their pastor. Pastor had no right to tell them what
to do. how dare he. I'm beginning to belive that some of you have never
really had a Pastor: or worse never allowed yourself t be pastored. This
Would explain some of the exceeding ignorant statements made. If we walk
in the light as he is in the light THEN we hve fellowship with one
another.
