We had a camp ground meeting last night. We had Bro. Harper from back
east. I wish, we had known that he was preaching all weekend. He
preached "The World that Jesus cam to Save"

He used John 3:16,17 as the text of his sermon.

He then went through what was going an during the time of Jesus's life.
I am going to tell you, that f you think it was bad now, just look at
the Roman Empire. He talked on the different Ceasors. He talked about
the Harolds, and polites of the time. He talked about how Paul witnessed
to the people around him.

He talked about Paul on Mars Hill. How he could have reamed them, but
instead, showed them a better way. It was good preaching. He stated that
Paul could have condemned them, like some do today. Yet he never did.
The preacher stated that we were given 5 books to save them with, and 22
books to teached them with once they are in the church.

He got all over the standards police. He stated that we need to get them
converted, baptized, and filled with the Holy Ghost. We then need to let
the Preacher do his job. That is to teach and preach this Gospel. Let
the Elders, or those assigned to new convert care work with the new
converts.

All in All it was good preaching. It really was a timely message for the
churches in Washington.
