Mike:
> You are absolutely right. *Some* of the stuff at the dump is good >too, but I don't want to start a dump in my living room for the good >stuff there may be in the pile.

Dave responds:
Very interesting dialogue going on between you and Marlon. However Mike,
let's see if you truly hold to the standard of "dump in my living room."
I agree that many things on TV is not edifying. You mention that you
don't want this stuff in your home. Well, I'm surprised that you own a
computer! Much on the internet is totally contrary to the Word of God.
You can find Evolution, atheism, and every diabolical and contrary view
to God's Word. So maybe after this, if you feel that strong about TV,
you should feel much stronger against the internet and computers.
Secondly, I assume you don't purchase or read newspapers. And God forbid
that you have a radio in your automobile or home. The anti-family
secular music that dominates the radio waves is certainly not healthy
for us. Sure, you can change the station...but wait...can't you do that
with a TV as well?

What am I saying? The same arguments that you use for not owning a TV
(which is your right and I applaud you for not owning one) you can use
also for computers, radio, newspapers, etc. Just because one does not
own a TV does not make them any holier than those who have one. The
difference is that those who own a TV have learned to control what comes
through the screen.
