Let me let YOU in on a little secret: There ARE Churches where the Pastor
has out and out told people who have to move for reasons of jobs, etc.,
that THEIR Church is the only one where that person can get to Heaven
from.

 Hmmm.  I didn't know that was a secret.  It is becoming more and more evident
to me that some people on this list enjoy setting up "strawmen."  First we
talk about whether or not a pastor has the authority to establish standards in
a local assembly, and then we argue the point by saying there are
totalitarians out there?  Okay, there *are* some totalitarians out there.
What does that have to do with pastors having the authority to establish
standards?  God forbid we may have a thief or a child molester out there that
is posing as a "Man of God," what does that have to do with the our point?
