I will agree with what you said, but I do not believe it is "Let the
Pastor be true and all men liars".  It still comes down to a point of
spiritual authority.  Do they have the authority to ADD to the literal
authority of the scriptures?  That is, do you believe whatever they say
behind the pulpit to be equal in authority to the Word of God?

I don't believe so.
