They had better grammar back in King James' day. The situation that you
discribe would have been written "obey him (or the one) who has the rule
over you. Plus we still have that pesky example from Ephesus in Acts you
brought up in that article. Where Paul told the elder"s"<---- to "shepherd"
the flock. One local flock, several pastors(shepherds).
I've tried to explain before, I'm not against pastors in churches, I just
don't think we have enough of them. This mutual accountability would cut
down, if not eliminate, a lot of the accusations that come up on this list
(partiality, subjectivity of standards).
I'm enjoying the discussion and I'd like it to continue if you're game.
