Thanks for taking the time to answer. That's a good point about Abraham.
What I meant by that was God didn't allow the situation to stay as it was.
God put Sarah back with Abraham, in spite of what he'd done.

I think of congregations who have left truth because they were taught "the
minister is always right" so when the minister left, they did. I don't agree
with this. I know of a Oneness minister who achieved national fame several
years ago when he took his church from their organization on the basis of
"the pastor is always right". The church ended up practicing gross
immorality in there services, until these practices were brought to light in
the media.

I included that last comment to show that a tendancy to be cautious
regarding "absolute" church authority for any man, doesn't mean that I
disbelieve standards or the necessity for leadership in the church. Paul
himself speaks of his concern that he would "become a castaway". If Paul,
the greatest Apostle after Jesus, has this concern for himself, we must be
in the Book lest "the very elect should be deceived."
