You:
Hey, where do you preach? I'd like to hear some of your sermons and I
would even ignore the beard...

Me:
Only if you are thoroughly convinced that I am not in sin to wear it. ;-)
I would of course ask for the Bible anyway. I have overlooked some pretty
obvious things before (flames expected ;-) I try to be quick to listen yet
slow to respond.

Brother, I preach about anywhere I am. I haven't "officially" had my first
sermon as a minister yet, but it isn't far off. I attend the Apostolic
Christian Church of Christ in Columbus Ohio. Bishop Arden Dennis is the
Pastor ("Pop" is a nickname the kids at a school he used to teach gave him
and it has stuck ;-). It is at 735 E. Gates St. Our motto is "Church Where
No One is a Stranger" and it isn't just a saying on a plaque either. We are
what is called "Independent" but they and I came from a PAW background.

I am a minister, but just became one so I am waiting on the papers
(actually, I am the one who will print them up along with all the other
ordination papers since I am the church "Computer Dude" ;-). When I get
these I'll go to the State House and get a license since I intend, Lord
willing, to do this full time. I'll let you know when I am scheduled to
preach.

If you come to our church, I am easy to spot. I will be the large (6' 1",
255 lbs) bald white man who will most likely shake your hand and say "It was
nice to have you here! Why not make it a habit?" and MEAN it, just before I
start to tell you something that the Lord has shown me in the past week or
during service and I start trying to relate it to all our lives. ;-D

Stop by...
