Are any of these examples in the Bible, brother? I thought that's where our
doctrine came from. Seems to me when "men of God" did something wrong, they
paid for it. Abraham's deception about Sarah, the sons of Eli, the sons of
Aaron, David, Aaron, Peter, James and John............

Well, the wisdom of the world is foolishness. But in 2 Timothy 2:15 I read
"Study to show thyself approved unto God." This gives you the wisdom that comes
from above, through the power of the Holy Ghost. A man of God or saint may not
be elevated by study, but the Word says the are approved unto God by it. So if
you choose not to study because you are a "man of God" and one of your saints
chooses to devour the Word....his or her approval unto God will be higher than
yours. Period.

There might have been bears in the Old Testament, but there are "Bereans" in
the New, who search the Scriptures to see if such things be. The Judge "knoweth
all things" He is the Word. So if you are content to pitch your tent while the
cloud moves.....feel free. I'll send a postcard from wherever the Word leads me
to.

p.s. perhaps it would be good for you to answer those questions Bro. Moore
posted, so we could see the Scriptue you base these beliefs on and not just
"chain-letter" like stories of tradgedy. I'm always ready to give heed to
Scripture, not anecdotes.
