The Bible speaks of entreating an elder like a father, not just rebuking him. 
 Now elders get to be elders by demonstrating maturity, not by being sent 2 by 
2 from Utah or just having a license.

The name Ichabod means the Glory has departed. At a low point in Israel's 
history a mother gave this name to her child, to show the nation's condition. I 
forget the exact reference.
