"Going Forth" or "Run and Hide"

I have recently heard both online and offline where some apostolics are
saying that
with the pending "Y2K" problem, ect. that we all should be stocking up
with about
a years worth of supplies and even think about hiding out in the country
or mountains
and some even supposing that we will still be here when the "mark" is
mandatory.
Now I have nothing personal against those who feel that way and my
intent is NOT to
offend them, but I always thought that the main reason for God's true
church is to
go forth and evangelize the world, and that would be hard to do hiding
in the
country or mountains, I feel that when things get to the point where it
would be
impossible for the church to continue doing it's job - evangelizing -
that God would
no longer have any reason to keep us here and we would then be
"raptured", I just
don't think that God would keep us here to just merely be
"survivalists", in the early
church when perscutation came and they got thrown in jail, ect. it
caused them to
spread the Word more, to them it was "reach the lost at any cost" not
run and hide.
Some refer to the scripture where Joseph intrepreted the dream about
storing up for
the seven years of famine to make their point, but there are also many
scriptures along
the line of: "where God provided for Isreal during the 40 years in the
wilderness" and
where Jesus said to take no thought for the things you need that it
would be provided,
and also Elijah was fed by the ravens, ect.
So isn't the only real reason for the church to continue on this earth
for now (until the rapture)
is to preach the gospel and evangelize the world ?
And once that would no longer be at all possible to do then God has no
reason for continuing
to keep us here, sure I believe that we can (and some now are) go thru
some endtime persucution
before we are raptured out of here, but that will be from man, not the
wrath of God.
So, lets hear it, how many are planning to go to the country or
mountains and just be "survivalists"
and how many feel that we just continue to evangelize the world and
trust God to see us thru ?
