Are you crazy??  Talking about chopping up oak.  Are these cracks
completely through?  cross grain? over half the distance between
supports?

Not much a good carpenter can't fix.  Talking about destroying oak
furniture.  Do you know the good sections could be made into a desk,
book case, fewer pews, etc....

If I only lived near N.H....
