Aaaaaaaaaammmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeen!
Ok, now I know we are not to do that, but it was an excellent well
written piece. I have since coming here, changed many of my thought
patterns on "cookie-cutter holiness". Now this comes home when you see a
new convert. They are "like a deer in headlights". They want to serve God
and do not know how. Do you bash them to submission, or gently just show
them that they do not need such things? My observation is that if they
give them up willingly, the loss is permanent. Like spontaneous worship,
if you have to prod too much, it is not from the heart. OTOH, I wish I
had been told directly to do such and such things when I was younger, so
the habits would be there today. Maybe I just did not listen close
enough?
