Okay, I turn 34 on the 10th, and I think I have gone the exact OPPOSITE
way. I used to believe in shades of grey until I realized that GOD
DOESN'T. At Judgement day, people are either on His left or His right.
There will be no people inbetween.

Bro. Jerry in matters of Salvation I agree 100%, but if we where talking about
beards for example or maybe wedding rings, or maybe meat that had been used in
idol worship and sold on the open market. In some areas of our christian walk
we look through a glass darkly and we precieve things a little differently,
and I think some of us would like to think we have clear cut answers when all
we have are our preception.

That as a PERFECT template of the issue, I believe that we only see grey
 in one or two ways:

 1) In our own personal lives, we see grey only if we don't know where the
line is in our own life concerning the issue at hand. I believe that,
given enough time, I could find the line where the black is separated
from the white. That is, I could find the line where you would say "Yes"
on one hand and on something very close, say, :"No". That would be a
 separation into black and white.

 2) On a societal level, the APPEARANCE of grey areas is simply the
amalgamation of so many whites and blacks. If you go into a paint
program and the background is white and you make a checkerboard design
where every other pixel is black, when you are through, it APPEARS to be
grey, but really is is a mixture of blacks and whites. That being said,
in society, grey APPEARS to occur when so many people's white is mixed
together with so many other people's black.
  What does everyone think?

The above is a excellent example of why we see through a glass darkly now,
many times all of our questions only confuse or obfuscate the issue, rather
than make it easier to understand. That is why a simple thread goes off into
about 20 different directions on the higher fire list. But when we come into
his presense, that is when we get to see things in black and white, at least
hopefully. I know on that great day of the Lord we will see it in black and
white and hopefully we have been honest enough with God and one another that
his blood will be our covering and His righteousness will be imputed to us.
Because we could never attain that degree of righteousness on our own.
