Father-Son Churches

Bro. Welch, 

It isn't just you.  I can think of four UPC churches (two of which run
1500+ in membership) which have been "handed-down" from father to son.
Sometimes it works very well; sometimes it doesn't work at all.

were totally unrelated, but last I heard his son-in-law, who is very
capable, has moved back so he might have been made an asst.  But I

Bro. Richard,

Bro. MacLaughlin is now asst. pastor and doing a very capable job.  God
brought in the right person at the right time.  He just happened to be
related to the pastor. :)
