Joking with bro. Timothy ;)

MeB4:
I take communion in rememberence of Him. I speak in tongues, those
tongues
that are in order, more than anyone else I know or have even heard of.
I
operate in several Spiritual Gifts. I have all of the fruits of the
Spirit.
I am in subjection to the man to whom God has sent me to learn
obedience AND
freedom in the Lord.
Bro. Joshua:
Blah, blah, blah...Good thing you're so humble <g>--Just kiddin with
ya brother Tim--LOVE YA! :) God bless...
Me:
*laugh...
Yeah, some will *read* that the wrong way. They will think that I am
talking about how great *I* am when what *I* am REALLY talking about is a
GOD that can take a broken down ol' self abusing, good for nothing drunk and
make him into what HE has made me today. Too many today forget that *WE
ARE* the Work that God is doing. I really don't see where people get this
*rank* stuff when Paul actually said that those who are in the forefront are
there because they are the weakest among men. I KNOW this is why I have all
of these blessings.
2 Corinthians 12
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is
made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my
infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
I typed in "perfect weakness" to get that verse BTW and it is the only one
that came up. ;-)
When I testify about how great it is to not be an alcoholic anymore, it is
God I am praising for it is He that has done this thing. When I testify of
the Gifts of the Spirit, I praise Him for it is He that has done this thing.
When I testify of my obedience, I praise Him for it is He that has made me
know and love Him enough to obey.
I am not haughty, I just know that *I* am a "showpiece" of the Love and
mercy and the Power of the Almighty God that I serve.
Job 36
22 Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?
*I* am a 'text book' case of God's Mercy and Restoration...
ALL *I* do is by, for and through the Spirit and NOT of my own accord.
Isaiah 64
6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as
filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the
wind, have taken us away.
You:
And, since you started the Hebrew blessing, I'll add my Psalm for the
day: (and it is so fitting!)
Adonai, Adonai, Lo gavah libi, v'lo ramu einai...Hineh mah tov, Umah
naim, Shevet ahim, Gam yahad.
Translation: Lord, Lord, My heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty.
..Behold how good, and how pleasant it is, for brethren to dwell
together in unity.
Me:
Ummm... While I have a 'little' knowlege of Hebrew, as I said, I don't
*fullly* know what the blessing meant that I wrote the other day. ;-) It
*seems* my newest found friend, that you have applied yourself in this area.
Care to translate what I wrote the other day? I have a *pretty good* idea,
but...
Also, and for the record, I don't see why anyone would see the list I wrote
as anything less than one's due service in the Lord. They are about the
*minimum* requirements to enter Heaven. That is something that has been
lost in this day and time of stripping the "Salvation Message" down to one
verse.... :'-(
Luke 17:10
So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded
you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty
to do.
