I have and stand by them. Perhaps standards can be called PERSONAL
doctrines, but unless they are stated in the Bible, they cannot be termed
doctrine as I am using the word.

Again, wearing a red dress (if you're a woman, of course) without
repenting will NOT send you to Hell. That is a standard. Committing
adultery without repenting WILL send you to Hell.

Men wearing short sleeves without repenting will not send you to Hell.
That is a standard. Murdering someone without repenting WILL send you to
Hell.

Standards are just THAT; local standards and they vary from Church to
Church. Doctrine IS Universal and is found in the Bible and cannot be
debated.

If the local Pastor says "Thou shalt not..." then you shouldn't, since
you place yourself under the man, but it is not a salvation issue.

If the BIBLE says "Thou shalt not..." then you better not unless you have
a lot of marshmallows and you'll probably need short sleeve shirts as
well!

Those, then are DOCTRINE, that is, they are found in the Bible.

Men wearing beards for instance is NOT against doctrine.

Men wearing dresses IS against DOCTRINE.
